Dean of College of Engineering Dr. Sheryl Ehrman has served as the Don Beall Dean of the College of Engineering at San Jose State University since 2017, overseeing 26 programs, 290 faculty, and 6,500+ students. She has strengthened ties with Silicon Valley, hired award-winning faculty, launched speaker series and career programs, and increased female engineering faculty to among the highest nationally. Previously, she was Keystone Professor and Chair of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Maryland. She holds a Ph.D. from UCLA and a B.S. from UC Santa Barbara, and is a licensed professional engineer in Maryland. Her career includes roles as a visiting scientist at NIST, an NSF postdoctoral fellow in Switzerland, and a 2006 Fulbright Scholar at IIT Bombay. She was a Fulbright Alumni Ambassador from 2013 to 2016.

Senior Aerospace Engineer Reine is a Senior Aerospace Systems Engineer in the Lunar Business unit at Blue Origin, a role she recently assumed. Since August 2025, she has also been pursuing an MBA at UCLA Anderson. She joined Blue Origin in March 2022 as an Aerospace Systems Engineer III, contributing significantly to Payload Accommodation for the first New Glenn mission, launched in January 2025. Previously, Reine worked at Millennium Engineering and Integration as a contractor at NASA Ames Research Center, where she contributed to the TechEdSat team on the Exobrake, a passive deorbiting system, deployed on four CubeSats (TechEdSat 7, 8, 13, and 10). She earned a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering from San Jose State University, where her thesis focused on ablative thermal protection systems for Earth re-entry, using computational models for APOLLO-4 and APOLLO-10. She completed her degree while working part-time as an engineer. Reine holds two bachelor’s degrees: one in System Engineering from the University of Paris (2016) and another in Engineering Sciences from Catholic University in Lille, France (2014). Originally from Cameroon, she is fluent in French and English, and has lived and worked in multiple countries. Passionate about mentorship, she is committed to empowering girls and young women in engineering. Outside of work, Reine is a competitive tennis player, having won several USTA singles titles, and currently lives in Los Angeles, California.

V.P of Quality Engineering, Veeva Systems Nandana Das is a seasoned technology leader with over two decades of experience in quality engineering, cloud computing, and software strategy. Currently serving as Vice President of Engineering, Quality at Veeva Systems, she has been instrumental in building globally distributed, high-performing teams, establishing robust QA strategies, and driving innovation in test automation and agile processes. Her career spans leadership roles at Veeva Systems, Symantec, Computer Associates, Nortel, and Siemens, where she consistently delivered scalable solutions, streamlined release processes, and built teams recognized for excellence and low attrition. Beyond her corporate career, she is the Co-Founder of Parbon, a venture bringing authentic Indian sweets and savories to a global audience. Known for her strategic vision, people-first and empathetic leadership, technical acumen, Nandana blends business insight with engineering depth to deliver growth, operational efficiency, and customer success.
